Dr Blanco is wonderful.. I am deaf and I only read lips .. she accommodated me and wore a clear shield so I can understand what she is saying .. some MDS don’t understand the struggle I have bc I only read lips due to my hearing loss but Dr Blanco didn’t make me feel like an outsider and neither did the staff at the front desk ... thank you all ??

I had changed doctors due to changing work circumstances. I chose close to home but it made me miss too much work. I then chose a doctor close to work. When the pain became too unbearable to work through I wanted a doctor closer to home. Driving long distances is barely an option on a bad day when every joint movement is excruciating. She was recommended to me by another specialist (different field). She was recommended for being nice, there was no mention of her professionalism or ability. Anyway the day of the appointment came and I was indeed nervous. My pain began when I was young (20s) and I was often dismissed. I've essentially lost all of my 30s to this pain. When I should have been building my life up, it was being dismantled in front of me. Having to explain 12 years of depressing facts to a stranger within 5-10 minutes evokes anxiety. SHE TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING SHE COULD DO FOR ME BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS DOCTORS WERE HER FORMER TEACHERS. Seriously, that happened.

Possible diagnosis of PMR polymyalgia rheumatica. Getting additional bloodwork to confirm. Affects us seniors over 50. Treatable with prednisone over 9-18 months. Very good exam by doc, answered my questions before I asked. Interested in some of my previous illnesses in 2011 with fever, chills, possible temporal arteritis.

My mother waited for months on results that Dr. Blanco had her take. She left the country for a month without any consideration of her needs. Once she came back and my mother was finally able to see her she said the only way to cure her osteoarthritis was if she was dead. She said this in front of my 11 year old daughter. In my opinion this doctor is careless, inconsiderate and I highly recommend you do not see her.
