Needs Better Communication Skills With Patients
I was treated for a detached retina by Dr. Lavina. He was not responsive to questions- either prior to or post surgery. Seemed more irritated than responsive. Staff is god, however waiting time may be substantial.

I think Dr. Lavina is not only an excellent doctor but is also compassionate. He didn't rush his exam and answered all my questions. When my mother went to him, my sister in another state had questions and he telephoned her personally to explain his diagnosis. I would recommend him to my dearest family and friends.

Excellent from diagnosis to check in for operation on my Retina. The staff ,nurses ,support staff, assisting Docs were 5 star . I would trust Dr Lavinia to operate on my wife or children. I had a Macular peel with no pain and success. Dr Lavina himself not staff called at night to see how I was doing ! They say he is the best and he is. We should have mire like him

Dr. Lavina was excellent. However, his office staff is a disaster. They gave my patient completely incorrect information regarding fees, did not file insurance properly, would not answer her billing questions, and were rude to her when she had questions (desperate to understand what was going on!). Tracy was the most incompetent.

Dr. Lavina literally saved the sight in my left eye, which had a macular hole. I call him 'my miracle worker,' since i went from losing any acute vision in my left eye to keeping my CDL, which requires 20.40 vision (I get 20/35 on eye tests).. Best of all, he's easy to talk to and humble. I can think of no one else to recommend. He's the best!
