Wouldn’t recommend this doctor. He didn’t diagnose my husband’s severely leaking mitral valve. Why I don’t know. Another cardiologist caught this right away with one stethoscope listen and diagnosed it. Then turned him over to the best cardiologist at the Texas Medical center. By seeing a different cardiologist my husband’s life has been spared. Use this cardiologist at your own risk.

I've been Dr. Samal's patient since about 5 years ago when I developed symptoms of Afib. He took one look at my EKG and immediately had me go to the ER. His care has been very effective and after 2 ablation procedures I've been almost symptom free. I feel he cares about my health and he's always been kind and attentive.

Never forwarded my father’s records to his new cardiologist and ignored numerous emails sent to him/his office by my dad regarding health concerns my father was experiencing.

My mother just had an appointment with Dr. Samal and I was so angry leaving the office. She was/is exhibiting some concerning symptoms and his response was "she's fine" and actually wanted to prescribe additional drugs with harsher side effects. I told him he was not listening to her when she said she and myself said she was not okay and his response was "if you don't like it, find another doctor." Even suggested that we go seek neurologist for the symptoms she was exhibiting. After speaking with a nurse, who seemed extremely frustrated with his attitude, I told her he had no bedside manner which she agreed and an addition patient of his that was standing beside us said she received the same "care" as my mother. He was rude to her telling her during post-op "look at me!" He has a serious Napoleon Syndrome and just arrogant with that doctor's ego. I would go anywhere else before I went to him.

Dr Samal has been my cardiologist for several years. He has always been very thorough and cordial. He takes the time to explain my condition and make suggestions. I have only had one time that my appoint ran late and that was because of a hospital emergency.

The staff is horrible and disorganized. I scheduled an appointment and week in advance. When I arrived, I wasn't even on the schedule and had to wait a long time. I wasn't feeling well and that made it worse. Shortly after, Dr. Samal went on vacation and I needed the nurse information about my medication. She never returned my call. I had to keep calling. I was on hold several minutes. Someone answered the phone saying "hello" and "who you waiting for" while I was waiting and even hung up!
