Dr. Aditi Basnet, MD

I needed a PCP and Aditi Basnet was accepting patients. Dr. Basnet was much younger than I expected, which would’ve been fine. Unfortunately, she acted young, inexperienced, and seemed overwhelmed with my symptoms. At one point, she said, “This is a lot.” Simply put, she has an immature demeanor (and judgy) about her. Worse, I did not feel heard. There were issues of concern, such edema in my legs, and she ignored me 3 times. Finally, she reluctantly pressed on my calves and said she didn’t think there was too much to worry about, despite the indentations left behind. She prescribed a BP medication that is known to cause water retention in some patients, and when I asked about that in potential worsening of swelling in my lower extremities and general body inflammation, she seemed annoyed and said, “Let’s just try it. I can’t predict how any medication is going to react.” In short, there were several issues that needed attention, and she basically just told me I needed to lose weight.

Dr. Basnet takes the time to listen. I had my first visit, I am so glad I made this switch!!
