One of the best doctors I have EVER met! Caring,
Dr. Alport is a. caring,, communicative, compassionate, wonderful model of what a doctor should be! Her clarity and thoroughness in explaining the gravity of my relative’s situation was balanced by her supportiveness and encouragement, and with practical suggestions on how to manage the situation. Let me assure you that there is not an iota of hyperbole in my saying that Dr. Alport is a superb physician in every way, and we are grateful for having been referred to her.

dr. alport administered botulinum toxin for my wife's migraines and three days later, her injections caused paralysis in my wife's neck, forcing her to wear a neck support while this horrible injection wears off. so far, it has not fully worn off in over two months, and she is still having daily pain from her neck. she could not lift her head without using her hands and alport's reaction to this was initially cold and uncaring . she called my home only once to tell me that this was not her fault, but instead my wife might have been to blame. since then, we have not hear a word form her. meanwhile, my wife now needs to go to physical therapy for alport's mistake. if i could give her less than 1 star, i would. i definitely question alport's abilities.

Doctor Alport reduced my fear during my first visit and every other visit. I can’t imagine anyone giving her less than a 5 star rating. She explains, listens and allows you to be involved in the decision making process. She is also unbelievably intelligent. Once during a visit I was emotional and cried, she was kind and understanding. I will always remember her kindness and support that day. I will wait for hours if to see her because I know that another patient requires more of her. I am so lucky to have met her.

She is smart, knowledgeable, honest, and compassionate. I have been going to Dr. Alport for more than 10 years. If you have to wait it is because she is giving her patients all that they need. She does not rush the history and physical exam.

Dr. Alport is a terrific doctor. She really takes the time to listen and takes extra measure to ensure that the patient feels heard and cared for. She addressed my health concerns and any and all necessary tests. She even took the initiative to up with me the following week to see how I was feeling. Highly recommend.

I don’t know who’s giving her 5 stars because she is the worst! On the initial visit I had to wait 2 hours to be seen and the staff didn’t know why she wasn’t there until they decided to page her. Then when she comes in she asks you questions without letting you andwer them properly. She prescribes a ton of test for me to do including an MRI with contrast. The doctor was to submit paperwork as to why and all she wrote was dizziness and the insurance approval was denied. See someone else!!!

From the moment that Dr. Alport walked into the room, I felt known. Although this was my first meeting with her, I felt like she has known me for a long time. She was very nice and caring. I was very impressed with her speech . She was extremely articulate and well-versed. I appreciated how professional she was and how helpful she was with my diagnosis. I really enjoyed my visit and am so thankful that I met with her today.

I was first admitted to NYM hospital Sep 2015 w/ sinus thrombosis where I first met Dr. Alport. What I love most about Dr.A is that she didn't take my diagnosis at face value. She ran the necessary tests to rule out MS, and ultimately found I did have MS. She explained the medications and referred me to shared solutions which is a very compassionate company. I really thank Dr. A for going the extra mile to find out what was really going on and making me feel comfortable w/ the next steps!

My insurance company wouldn’t cover my previous neurologist, therefore I asked who I could use and they sent me to see Dr. Alport. I had previously been diagnosed with Parkinson’s because I was experiencing tremors in my hands. However, when I met with Dr. Alport, she told me that I did not have Parkinson’s, rather it was essential tremors. I think she is wonderful, great, and kind doctor and I feel at home here. Overall, I am a very lucky lady. Thank you!
