Dr. Adedoyin Shonekan, MD

I switched to Dr. Shonekan despite her less than stellar reviews since the Frederick Kaiser center is closer to home. I sent her a message asking for an hcg quantitative beta blood test for a new pregnancy. This test is usually performed twice. I have a history of multiple miscarriages which she would know if she read my chart. I went in to do the first test and received my results which were lower than usual for me. I went in two days later to repeat the test and instead of receiving my results I received a phone call that Dr. Shonekan did not think the second test was necessary. The lab didn't test my blood and instead discarded it. Wasting my time and dismissing my medical history. Avoid this doctor if you can.

Nice person but extremely disorganized and seems more interested in hearing herself talk than finding out about you. I had several incidences of her dropping the ball with checkups I was supposed to have for a high risk pregnancy. She blows symptoms off- just don't feel that she is particularly thorough or up to date on current research.
