Dr. Adam Yanke, MD

Dr. Yanke did my shoulder surgery a year ago. He explains everything well and is conservative in his approach. He doesn’t jump straight to surgery, which I love. He did a great job with my shoulder, and I recently consulted with him on arthroscopic surgery for my knee. I completely trust him, and I’m looking forward to walking with no more pain!

I appreciated that they listened and took an entire page of notes before even starting the exam. Spent time discussing the images and teaching me what’s happened and didn’t feel rushed. Also, gave options instead of orders. I think if you’re used to old school medical care where your doctor just tells you what to do, this will open your eyes to the way a doctor patient relationship should be. I’ll be staying with Dr Yanke and his care team if I have any other sports injuries (knock on wood)

We had the first meeting with Dr Yenke and were very impressed with the whole team. They explained everything about the surgery my husband is going to need in terms we could understand.

Dr Yanke, and his staff are flawless. Their direction, guidance and surgical expertise are immeasurable. My initial appointment with Dr Yanke was informative and professional, yet compassionate at the same time. My surgery for repair of my rotator cuff was scheduled. He discussed the success of stem cell injections, nutritional shakes and the icing cube. I thought if Dr Yanke supported this, I’d certainly be on board. The patient handbook was quite informative. I followed directions to the letter. My theory on most anything is that you receive back as much effort as you put in to any endeavor. I gave consent for stem cells, ordered the shakes and the cube. I was prepared. My surgery went well! I was on my way. I thankfully had an uneventful recovery. I utilized the icing cube as directed. Took pain meds and prescribed aspirin. Began the exercises the day after surgery , 3x daily and wore the sling as directed. I’ve had minimal pain and discomfort. As of today, I have 10 days to go!

Dr Yanke took his time to explain the cause of my knee pain, understand my history and lifestyle and recommend options. Then we talked through the pros and cons, timing and he let me arrive at the option that I felt most comfortable with. He explained everything well, took his time and I left his clinic feeling very confident about the treatment plan.His intro videos before the appointment is a great touch to build the confidence and have some familiarity before seeing him for the first time. Highly recommend Dr Yanke.

Dr Yanke puts your needs 1st and doesn’t recommend unnecessary procedures or surgeries. He is definitely informative and made me comfortable and happy for upcoming surgery. Will keep you posted on how it goes!

He is relaxed and offers to explain every option available to me. He answered each question using statistics as well as his experience but makes it clear the decision for my treatment is up to me. His staff is knowledgeable and friendly. He is patient and friendly. I have seen him several times for myself and relatives.

I met dr Yanke for the first time and was immediately impressed with his interest and concern about not just the issue that l was there for but also another problem that I had that he also treats! I was so grateful because I had been searching for an entire month for someone to evaluate my shoulder and my knee. Every body was over a month out in their appts and that was 2 different ortho drs. I was glad to have found someone who saw me within 2 days of making the appointment and could treat both conditions. Plus he was super friendly and nice, he greeted me with a smile!

Dr. Yanke is an exceptional surgeon with a caring bedside manner to match. He was the 7th surgeon I saw about patellofemoral arthritis and the only one with the skill and training to treat it. My recovery from partial knee replacement has gone extremely well. His whole team, most notably Marisa Castaneda, are equally fine, prompt, and polite. I would recommend Dr. Yanke highly and with no reservations.

After a terrible experience of total replacement and 2 surgeries on my right shoulder (done by a different Dr)I had an app.with Dr Yanke, He listen all of my questions and told me the options I had to treat both of my shoulders.Dr.Yanke repaired my left shoulder’s rotator cuff 3 months ago and I am healing and regaining strength with the Physical therapy .Dr.Yanke listen and answers all of my questions and takes the time to give a clear answers.I wish I had meet Dr Yanke before my terrible experience with my right shoulder.Great Doctor.

Dr. Yanke operated on me 6 months ago and has been fantastic. He is easy to be with, he listens well and does not display any medical arrogance. I have found him to be thoughtful, and at ease when discussing my degenerative knee issues. Although my surgery has, for the most part, been very successful at alleviating pain, it has not been perfect. I still experience pockets of discomfort and he is intent in listening and understanding my issue, as well as willing to explore multiple avenues to improve on what we have accomplished. Midwest Orthopedics at Rush office is one of the country’s most well known orthopedic practices, there some occasions when it take a bit longer than I would like, he has always been apologetic and respectful of my time. And because of the care I receive from him and his team and the quality of his personal character, I am more than happy to recommend him here.
