Dr. Adam Sugihara, MD

I went in to see Dr. Sugihara with a very painful groin injury. I had hernia surgery there in the past and when checked, Dr. Sugihara had me get a CT skin. Upon completion and after a few days, Dr. Sugihara informed me he didn't think I had a hernia but probably a sports injury of soft tissue perhaps and has ordered an MRI to be done. I am so very appreciated and respect the heck out of this surgeon for being honest and not just wanting to do surgery for the money, but wants to make sure the right course of action is done even if he isn't going to get a dime from it! That is absolutely a rare thing and I can't say enough wonderful things and deep respect I have for him.

I am so thankful for Dr. Sugihara. This past year I had two surgeries performed by Dr. Sugihara and I am so thankful that he was my surgeon. Dr. Sugihara cares about his patients and wants the best for them. He explained my condition at length and was honest and upfront with outcomes. My surgeries went well and I would not think twice about using him again if I ever needed more surgery. I concur with all the wonderful things his other patients wrote in their reviews. I am very thankful for all Dr. Sugiharas help, my dad has nothing but great things to say about his experience with him. Not only did Dr. Sugihara attend his every need and question but he treated him very kindly and he really made him feel safe and taken care of. This Surgeon is a wonderful person and the most professional doctor he has had and my dad who has been fighting cancer for years has gone through a lot of Surgeons. My Father is an elder diabetic person and was treated form this doctor, he is a very good DR. he also was hospitalize and was very attentive to my father in law he did not discharged patient until he made sure he was OK to leave . He also did a ct scan to make sure everything was OK truly recommend this doctor, and it is very hard to find someone that really cares, and I think this doctor really cares for his patients and say he is humankind. Doctor Sugihara came to see me because of emergency gallbladder surgery on November 4, 2023. He explained what needed to be done and then we went into surgery. Doctor Sugihara came to check on me every day to see how I was recovering. It really surprised me that he would take the time with his busy schedule to check up on me. Dr. Sugihara has a great bedside manner, very attentive and will answer all your questions. I would definitely recommend Doctor Sugihara to everyone who needs General Surgery. Great Surgeon. Dr.Sugihara had to do emergency gall bladder removal on me unfortunately….but the one thing he does, introduced himself and explained everything he would do to me.Then hours after the procedure was done, he came to the hospital to check up on me to inform me of everything that happened….hes got the BEST bed side manners I’ve ever met from the time I met him, until I left.

Office staff was very friendly, Prompt and very nice, Dr Sugihara was informative and told me exactly what to expect.

He performed emergency gallbladder surgery on me at San Antonio Hosp. He made sure I was comfortable and at ease before surgery. You need to trust your surgeon and I did! He not only focuses on his patient’s surgery, but sincerely cares about each of them as a person. He is easy to talk to and listens to your concerns. My surgery went well. After that, Dr Sugihara closely monitored my progress and checked on me daily. He did not rush to discharge me as is typical, but waited until HE felt I should go home. There is nothing ordinary about Dr Sugihara! He is kind, humble, and compassionate towards his patients. He is an exceptional doctor, surgeon and an all around nice guy. I am forever grateful and thankful to have been under his care. He continues to monitor my recovery with post-op visits in his office with the help of his amazingly attentive MA Veronica. I would 100% recommend Dr Adam Sugihara to anyone needing surgery. May God bless him as he continues to help others in need.

October 23, 2022, I went into San Antonio Hospital Emergency room in Upland. After 4 hours it was determined that I needed emergency surgery my Gallbladder was in an extreme and dangerous condition and needed to be removed with a matter of urgency. At some point, Dr. Sugihara came to visit me; he informed me that I was in trouble and that he would be my surgeon. He was plain spoken and to the point and that was so refreshing to me. I felt instantly that this man was honest and very sure about my condition and what he was going to do for me and how my life would be better for putting my trust in him. The surgery that he performed on me, usually takes about 45 minutes. Wouldn't you know that he worked tirelessly on me for about 2.5 hours. He was exhausted after that. Post-surgery, Dr. Sugihara went to visit me, he explained to me that prior to surgery I was in bad shape, my Gallbladder was one step away from the worst condition you could have in a situation like mine.

I highly recommend Dr Sugihara. I had emergency surgery done in which a drain had to be installed in my gallbladder of how inflamed was. After 8 weeks of having this drain coming out of my body, I searched for a surgeon that had more experience in the delicate procedure to remove the drain and my still inflamed gall bladder. After during my research I was confident that Dr. Sugihara was the right surgeon. I contacted his office and Veronica was very attentive and demonstrated real concern for my situation. She consulted with Dr Sugihara regarding my situation and called me back the following day. She indicated that Dr Sugihara would see me that same day! I went to see him and after examining me he agreed to do the surgery. He explained to me that the hospital did not have availability until 4 weeks later. After expressing my concerns and desire to have the surgery sooner, he agreed to contact the hospital to see what could be done. To my surprise, Veronica contacted me within a couple

I would recommend Dr. Sugihara to anyone. Not only did he take his time to explain the surgery but made me feel extremely comfortable. Took his time during surgery and is precise. His bedside manner is great and he’s very informative. His office is clean and organized. Veronica in his office is very helpful and patient especially when given all the paperwork to fill out :) I wish he was a primary doctor because I would pick him!

I was lucky to have Dr. Sugihara do a emergency appendectomy on me. He was stellar from the beginning to the end. He has a calming demeanor about him and explained everything to me clearly. He was quick and perfectly used my prior incisions from my gallbladder removal so he would not make unecessary scars for me The recovery was painless and in 2 weeks I was good to go. The follow up after surgery was great as well his staff are so kind and. Excellent. Dr. Sugihara explained everything to me again clearly and made my whole experience wonderful. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Sugihara as my emergency surgeon after it was discovered that my appendix was about to rupture. He has a wonderful bedside manner, a very caring attitude and is just a genuinely nice doctor. He speaks very down to earth to explain what's going on and is not condescending in anyway shape or form if you ask him questions. I am healing well and it's thanks to Dr. Sugihara's care!

As serious as the situation was, he made sure that I knew that he had it all under control and I would be just fine.
