I was suffering with the worst pain I have ever experienced. It was so debilitating that I that it kept me from getting out of bed for days. My primary recommended Shestack & I was able to get a timely appointment. He watch me on the first visit and it seemed as if he needed to know everything I had gone through medically. By the end of my exam he was able to start me on shots in my neck and upper shoulders. Unfortunately nothing was working. He saw me every week for 3 weeks then felt it was time to go further. He ordered a CAT scan & called me that evening to say we needed to get a n MRI for a full diagnosis. He ordered one STAT and again called me that Saturday evening to give the the results. They weren’t good! I had what is called osteomyelitis which is a severe infection that infiltrated the bones in my neck. Dr Shestack took care of everything. He contacted the surgeon & within two days I was in the OR. Had Dr Shestack not found the problem he dsidvitcwoukdvgave spread down my back infecting all my bones and would never walk again. He is my hero, even though it was the most painful surgery I have every experienced. I am alive & walking today because of him. Thank you Dr Shestack??

excellent pain management treater
I have moderate to severe stenosis in 4 areas of the spine making it inoperable. Dr Shestack has treated me with several modalities. He doesnt give up on his patients as other pain treaters. He's compassionate, truthful, focused and involved with my condition in a partnership of finding relief for me. As an RN with lots of experience with medical professionals' he's top shelf with excellent training at NY Cornell Medical Center. I highly recommend him.

This doctor should be ashamed of how he treat ls chronically ill patients. He is one of those doctors that just reaches to feel you a spinal cord stimulator and once you turn it down( have already did the trial and it didn't help me) he don't want to help. I was in the hospital and he refused to give me my right dose of pain medication even that I'm on with my current pain doctor. He is very rude and treats you less than humsn!! Don't see him unless you want to be treated like a drug addict. I have tons of medical records to prove i need my pain medication. He is an a$$hole. I'm calling the medical board as well. He deserves no stars but it mashes you put 1.

Dr. Shestack was my pain management doctor in Long Island. Then he moved to Delray Beach. I miss his compassion and humanity. There are not many doctors like him. Delray Beach is lucky to have him. I haven't found a decent replacement yet.

I went to Dr. Shestack once, and while I found him to be pleasant enough, the woman in his office was incredibly rude. When I called back to speak with him, she started ranting and answering by stating things I never said or asked, as if she was trying to create an impression that I was saying things that I was clearly not saying. I asked for the Doctor to call me. He did not have to courtesy to return my phone call. I must admit, I was quite surprised. It also seemed to me that he order significant bloodwork which seemed inconsistent with why I was there. For a new physician in practice, the entire experience was a total disturbing disappointment.

Dr. Shestack is extremely professional and knowledgeable. No B.S. and doesn't try to give you pain meds to get rid of you. Really tries to solve the problem in a reasonable and moral way.

When I contacted Dr. Shestack for my pain, I was not confident I would get much relief. I had not had any positive relief for at least a year. I was hopeful that maybe I had a chance after I met Doctor Shestack and even more pleased after my epidural. I got results that I didn't think even possible. He seems to understand my problem, he talks in ways I understand; responds to calls and makes follow-ups easy. Right now I feel very good having seen Dr. Shestack.
