An truly amazing Doctor
Telehealth
I have seen Dr Pourcho for the past 6 years. He has successfully assisted me with back, neck, knee, hip and foot pain. I am happy to pay out-of-pocket to see him because I trust his diagnoses and recommendations. I initially saw Dr Pourcho at Swedish, and then followed him to ESP Medicine. I have had 3 PRP injections and they were successful (knee, foot, hip). He also helped my husband after a major accident/injury. He correctly diagnosed a major hand injury from only X-rays provided by the admitting ER department (the ER sent husband home with only a splint and no follow-up instructions). Because of Dr Pourcho and his referral to an amazing hand surgeon, my husband has a fully functioning hand. Dr Pourcho goes above and beyond (he ensured we had appointments with 2 additional physicians before we left his office). I have never worked with a doctor that is as thorough and conscientious as Dr Pourcho.

Rushed me into Tenex surgery for what he said was an achilles tendon problem without doing conservative treatments first. I have never been without pain ever since. Pain has been much worse than I experienced before going in and gotten worse over time, a number of years now. In his defense he was very new in his practice and all doctors make mistakes when they are new. As a RN I have seen this before with young doctors; how else can they learn without making mistakes? I was just unlucky to be the one to help give him experience.

Dr. Pourcho is incredible! He gave me injections for a knee that would seize up plus experience arthritis pain. My knee has been pain free for three years and counting. A miracle!

The visit was brief, a perfunctory exam, and I had little opportunity to ask questions. His only recommendation was for a platelet rich plasma injection which is experimental with only a slightly better than 50/50 chance of success, and is not covered by insurance. He had no other treatment suggestions or followup. If you don't want PRP, don't bother with this doctor.

Dr Pourcho is super! He is very gentle when doing injections, and is a great listener. He explains what is going on very well. He is also well versed in the latest techniques and procedures, and will suggest alternatives if they are available. I trust this doctor with my care, and really appreciate him. You will too!

Wow what a great patient experience. I second what is said below. He was awesome. Did stem cells on my hip and literally has cured my arthritis. I feel like an 18 year old again. He had a great bedside manor, not in anyway boorish as stated below. My thought is the patient was off and not the doctor. Disregard the below comment.

Dr. Pourcho is rushed, impatient, rough, and boorish. He pushes adjustments and procedures. He doesn't listen; he forms an opinion 30 seconds after entering the exam room and then dismisses anything that doesn't fit. He's a true believer in "mindfulness" rehab where CBT conquers all pain and magically erases the QoL impacts of having a disability; if it doesn't, you're not trying hard enough and have an adjustment disorder. He's not willing to work through cost/benefits or tailor care.

As a professional football player, i have seen my share of doctors. Trust me his guy is A unicorn of a doctor. Seriously one of a kind. You wont find another doctor like him anywhere! He puts the player and career above the organization. He will avoid things that will have short term gain and long term detriment.

As a professional basketball player, just let me say. He is the best i have seen in 12 years of professional sports. Had plantar faciitis for years. Got me back to pain free basketball for the first time in 10 years. Seriously if you are a professional athlete you wont find a doctor that had your best interests at heart. Noone is better at keeping or getting you back in the game.

Dr. Pourcho is sometimes hard to get in to see. There is a reason for this. He is the best. He not only covers two professional teams in seattle, but also I have had multiple of my doctors say that they are seeing him as well. So for patient unwilling to wait, this is a huge mistake. I promise this will be a great experience and you wont be disappointed. Cheers
