From Another Dental Professional...
I have known Dr, Pitts professionally for 15 years. And I trust him enough to have my children treated by him. With a very approachable and enthusiastic personality, Dr. Pitts has produced excellent patient outcomes for over 15 years, and he actually speaks like a regular person, not like a doctor...

Horrible Experience
My dentist referred me to Dr. Pitts to have all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed. I was ver apprehensive about having it done and put it off for years. Dr. Pitts was friendly and explained things during the consultation. When we got back to the room for surgery I had to tell his anesthesiologist where to put my IV (said he couldn’t find a vein). After arriving home from surgery I still had a piece of one of the teeth in my mouth cutting my gum. Dr. Pitts failed to send my medicine in for pain relief. Called the next day and he sent it to Walmart not Walgreens. Was still swelling and not feeling well a week later so went to Dr. Pitts for follow up to make sure every thing was okay and he basically blew my concerns off. Now here we are a month later and I’m suffering from infection in one of the sockets, my face is swollen, and I’m miserable. Everyone o know was prescribed antibiotics at the time of their wisdom tooth removal to prevent infection but I didn’t receive any.

Teeth
Dr Pitts was called to another dentist office in Hendersonville to do extraction of my husband teeth. ( to get false teeth) A couple of things to be said here. First, in talking about the surgery of my husbands teeth, I ask a question, and Dr. Pitts had a smart answer ( being ugly) towards me. Second, after pulling his teeth, my husband kept feeling sharp pieces of teeth left over. Had to go back to the dentist and Dr Pitts had to remove, left over pieces of teeth ,which in return, cut more gum out. After all of this, . My husband was still having problems with wearing his dentures . His dentist told him that there wasn’t anything more he could do because there wasn’t enough gum there to hold the dentures. So now, $7000.00 later, my husband has dentures, but can’t wear them. Due to Dr. Pitts cutting away all the gum. So no, he will never go back to this dentist! A good dentist would know what to do and not be ugly to a paying patient!

When I arrived at the hospital I was very sick. He came to my room prior to my surgery and was very accusatory and rude. He is definitely to the minus in bedside manner. He had me very upset and in tears prior to my surgery. My nurse told me that she heard the manner in which he spoke to me and that she had reported him. I am not sure this doctor is actually a Human with Human feelings. He needs placed in a robotic lab where he has no contact with actual Human patients.

I was an inpatient at a local hospital when the hospitalist had Pitts come in and review my situation due to getting a couple of infectious diseases from dental work done from a place other than Pitts practice. All I can say is Adam Pitts was the most disrespectful, unprofessional and very abrasive “physician/surgeon” I have ever encountered, and I am in the Healthcare Industry!! He acted as if it was a burden to even be talking to him about the conditions I was suffering and made it very clear that I was a total waste of his time by is snide comments and ill-disposed attitude. I had been going through enough pain and other horrific symptoms prior to his arrival and during my stay that I didn’t need a bad-mannered God mentality so called “physician/oral surgeon” to come review my case. I would never recommend this guy for anything! He had me in hysterical tears with his disrespectful comments.

Dr Pitts did an outstanding job on my dental surgery. He was very professional and explained things in a way that I, as a non-doctor, could easily understand.

I went to Dr. Pitts for a dental implant which was botched due to his misjudgment of the size of the post in relationship to the bone mass in my upper jaw. The procedure could not be performed or else my jaw bone could have broken through to my sinus cavity. He admitted to this fact but denied any wrongdoing and did not refund my $3500 that I had paid upfront for this procedure. In my opinion this is unethical conduct. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DR. PITT!!!!!!! i WOULD GIVE HIM A NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!

Dr. Pitts immediately identified my nervousness about my wisdom teeth removal surgery. His upbeat attitude and encouraging tone made me less scared, and he was engaging and entertaining when giving me information about the procedure. I have never met a professional so capable of respecting the seriousness clients feel in the office while also remaining extremely personable. I was not seen until about 35 minutes after my scheduled time, but I can't imagine wanting to rush those before me.

Dr. Pitts saved my life. He was very confident from the first moment he saw me. We knew it wasn't going to be easy or a for sure thing. He made sure I knew what was going on at all times. He broke things down so I could understand them. I'm still in the recovering stages and he has been right beside me. I couldn't be more blessed or thankful. Thanks so much Dr. Pitts to not only you but your wonderful staff too.
