I messaged my dermatologist on an existing condition that I was seeking medical advice on already. I received a response back that said that my dermatologist was away and I had to be seen in person by another dermatologist. I was assigned Dr. Pettey. This 5 minute experience was not only brief but also a waste of time and money. Dr. Petty did not provide me a thorough evaluation and the feedback I received from him was condescending and superficial at best. I feel this interaction has set me back in resolving my on going skin condition. Perhaps he is used to relying on his good looks to charm instead of spending the time with each patient to actually help resolve the issues they came to see him for. There are other dermatologists at Kaiser Roseville that genuinely want to help. Dr. Pettey may not be one of them!

Not impressed with Dr. Pettey. I'm not sure if he spent enough time investigating the issue and made a haste decision. I felt rushed out of thd clinic for sure. I just hope his diagnosis is accurate.

Finally able to speak to someone so knowledgeable about something I was concerned with and dealing with for about 2 years, I was met with the condescending and disregarding nature of Dr. Pettey. Our conversation did not last longer than maybe 5 minutes, but he made me feel stupid about the questions I was asking and made me feel like my recollection about my own symptoms may be invalid.

Dr. Pettey is very thorough in his skin checks. Twice he has treated some precancerous spots that never returned after treatment. He's extremely kind and patient and I would highly recommend him as a dermatologist.

Dr Pettey was excellent. On time and very thorough. Offered several treatment options. Used photography to monitor suspicious moles. Likely that is why he is head of the Dept. Spends the extra time to educate you and answer all questions. Very accessible if you have concerns via email and office. He actually fit me in during his lunch.

I had basal cell carcinoma on my face and was very worried about having the cancer removed. The scar incision site was about 2 inches long after the surgery. 3 months later and the scar is totally invisible (which was a major concern.) I would have given 5 stars, however I had to bring the spot to his attention, but when I did he diagnosed the cancer immediately.
