I've been a patient for many years. Dr. Marcovitch is very good at explaining complex isssues in terms a layperson can understand.

Two very difficult appt's within a three- year period: First time, a staff medical assistant became impatient with my walking disability and I almost fell using a wheeled stool that would not lock. Staff member merely rolled her eyes, provided no assistance.. Second visit, Dr. Marcovitch was impatient with my too lengthy explanation of a very serious vision concern following a life-threatening extended illness. He was clearly not interested and provided minimal assistance. I won't return

I was very pleased with my interactions with Dr. Marcovitch. He listened carefully to my concerns, and went above and beyond the usual cataract evaluation to make sure I would get the best possible outcome. He gave me his full attention in our time together, and was very clear in answering any questions that I had. The information that was provided for pre and post surgery preparation and care was very clear.

I visited the office for a cataract operation. Even though I had an appointment I spent more than 1 hour waiting. The staff was very polite but the doctor spent less than 10 minutes with me, did not explain the operation, never discussed what I should expect and did not talk to me about my options, just saying I could choose a far way or close up lenses. After the operation I found out that I could have chosen an intermediate strength. His answer was "it is too late now".

Avoid like the plague. Every morning the waiting room is full of people just sitting for extreme amounts of time. Very unprofessional office.
