Dismisses Pain Issues as Mental
May seem kind & caring. Will consider what others say about you as facts rather than ask directly once you’re mentally stabilised (in acute cases). Told me “fibromyalgia” isn’t real. News to me. It ruined my career & livelihood. I’m college graduate (with honors). So, to infer that I ruined my career I achieved through hard work, grants, work-study only to label myself with “fibromyalgia” - a fake condition (per this dr) is “crazy” on his part. Several rheumatologists dx & confirmed dx prior to me ever seeing this dr. He convinces those in his orbit too. So, they all think they are experts on things that have nothing to do directly with mental health. Granted, the depression, anxiety, sleeplessness caused by chronic pain creates the need for compassionate & properly-educated mental health care.
