Personal care
Dr. Chyung took the time to understand my history, my family's history, and my current condition. He was supportive and active in my care. He was never rushed, I felt I had his full attention as though I was his only patent. He scheduled thorough testing and followed up personally. He kept me well informed and staying positive through the process. I highly recommend him.

Seizure Issues
I experienced a seizure episode and subsequently had my license suspended. Dr. Chyung went above and beyond to make sure I got all of the necessary tests run to make sure it was an isolated incident and walked me through the entire process of getting my license reinstated. He was kind and timely in all of his reponses. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

We are extremely disappointed with the way our parents were treated by this physician. If I could give him zero stars I would. Please do not see him or send your loved ones to him. He should not be a neurologist if he cannot treat his Patients with empathy or kindness. He asked two 70 year olds to come to his office during the covid outbreak for a medication refill for their memory medication. The spouse requested the refill to be sent to the pharmacy so as not to be exposed unnecessarily. But this Dr. Abraham insisted they come in. He was condescending to them both during the appointment then went on to say the medication was useless anyway. How strange this doctor is.

I would definitely NOT recommend Dr. Chyung because he lacks compassion. I have a painful nerve condition (trigeminal neuralgia) and needed a prescription for medication (non narcotic) and spoke with him as he was the on-call physician. I explained my situation to him and he refused to give me a prescription because "that's not the way I run my practice." He advised me to go to the Urgent care or the ED. Dr. Chyung could very easily verify my medical history by reviewing my medical record.

Dr Chyung has accommodated me because I live out of state where I do not have easy. a specialist I trust as much. Since we visit San Diego many times a year, I have established a relationship with him. Both times I have seen him he spent plenty of time listening, answering questions and providing feedback. He seems to be a gentle and thoughtful person and he called me personally to follow up on two occasions.

Dr. Chyung is one of the most uncaring and arrogant physicians I have met. I don't know why he is in this profession, because he does not care about your wellbeing, and has no people skills whatsoever. He prescribed medications twice that did not work, did not get back to me with test results, and when I tried to call him in an emergency situation (strong pain), he did not bother to call me back. He also did not write a prescription he promised, so I had to call his office for two weeks.

After seeing another neurologist at Torrey Pines, I was advised to see Dr. Chyung. Right from the start, Dr. Chyung showed me that he was better versed in my condition. He took his time and explained what was going on what could have caused it and what the treatment was that was best for me. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Chyung. He has been the best ever!!!! Dr. Chyung takes his time in listening and answering my questions. I do not feel hurried in the least.
