Disrespect of patient . Staff will argue with you , if you try to correct information that they use , that is wrong. They never update your insurance information . You never see the doctor . You have to ask them to do their prior authorization . Then they argue with you about that. I have had to have my primary doctor to take over my medication because they kept processing , using an old card . My husband plan had changed , they were given this information 5 times. They can't get anything correct. It is never their fault.

Inconsiderate of your Time
I had an urgent emergency Coloscopy scheduled with this Dr. Stocker due to potential symptoms of colon cancer and a family history. I get called 3 days before the appointment and everything was set to go. I then get a call 2 days before and am told they have to cancel last minute. They say someone will call me to reschedule soon. I never got a call, so i called back to reschedule at the end of the day on my own due to the emergency nature, and they told me they could not fit me in until July despite it being an Urgent referral. I am going elsewhere and they should be ashamed of their scheduling process and staff.

Best Gastroparesis Doctor
Dr. Stocker is amazing! She listened and cared for me. She took her time with me, and answered all of my questions. Her bedside manners are great. Her internal and fellowship were amazing too. Her office is small and a little run down, but it was clean. The only problem is her staff is slow. She is hard to get it at first, but once you are a patient, it is easy to book an appointment when you have a problem. Other than that, she is great. Highly recommend her for Gastroparesis. She knows what she is doing and does not judge.

Interactions with staff are a dealbreaker
Telehealth
My review would likely be far better if I ever got through inefficient, rude office staff members to actually see her. Completed the online check in in advance, filled out all of my forms in the portal, paid out of pocket ahead of time as required, only to sit on the Zoom link that was emailed to me the day before for over an hour and a half with nobody showing up. Received a notification that dr was running late and would join soon. Many minutes passed with nothing happening. Called the office to find out what was going on, and got berated for how I had not completed check in and had ignored their phone calls. I never received any calls or voice mail, and was not refunded. Please equip your office with empathy to talk respectfully through miscommunications without being aggressive with people who are already hurting.I try to enter every interaction I can with kindness when coordinating my care, and am too worn down to accommodate for that to be met with other people's tempers.

No concern for side effects of treatment
This is about my daughter's Ig treatment. She was receiving IVIG treatment and was staying extremely nauseaus and tired among other things. Dr. Stocker blamed her nurse for putting the idea in my daughter's head to switch to the SCIG treatment to help with side effects. It was not the nurse - it was letters from her mother who wrote to her doctors about the awful side effects she was having from the IVIG treatment. She finally switched the treatment but my daughter still has headaches and side effects. She is never seen in person by the doctor and no one except her nurse seems concerned about the side effects. I don't get it.

Don’t recommend
This dr says she can help with gastroparesis. I waited 4 months to get the temp device to be done. She did a temporary stomach stimulation device for a week but the day it was put in I woke up Vomiting blood and the nurses were calling for her and she refused to come in there and told them I had a nose bleed while putting the wires in and the blood went down in to my stomach and that is what was coming up and I would be fine. Now that I need the permanent one, I have to wait at least 4 months to have it placed. They don’t have a specific dr yet, dr stocker doesn’t place the permanent one in and has a transplant dr to put them in. They don’t have a procedure where they see who needs it worse then others. This place and dr is a joke and don’t see why she even has a job! I don’t recommend this dr or hospital to anyone!

I have a rare group of diseases. All are difficult to manage. Dr Stocker suggested a gastric stimulator and some change in medication. She has helped considerably. It no wonder the GI Motility Clinic has a wait list, the improvement in symptoms makes it worth the wait.

Doctor Stocker and her office have completely and utterly neglected my mother, and rather than offering care and treatment, have only allowed her to become sicker and weaker. I am watching my mother die, and Stocker could not be less concerned. She is neglected in general but also when admitted to the hospital. We are lied to, our phone calls and messages are mostly ignored, and care is withheld. The incompetence and just outright lack of care we have received is unconscionable. She was supposed to be one of the best in the country, but fell as far short of that mark as is possible to do. She is going to sit by and do nothing and let my mother die, and doesnt care.

Dr. Stocker is a wonderful doctor. I had been sick for a year and been to many doctors. She was the first one who understood my symptoms and determined what was wrong. When part of my treatment involved surgery she didn't do, she contacted an excellent surgeon and got him to do the surgery. She and Dr. Davis were able to save my stomach and get my digestive system working again. They worked as a team on my problems and I will always be grateful to both of them. I recommend her highly.

I have a very rare condition and Dr. Stocker has given me a solution to manage it. I do have to have a procedure every 6-9 months but it resolves the issue. The only negative thing I have regarding her practice is her Physician Assistant (Joe). He is very rude, uncaring and slow to get any paperwork needed for personal reasons back to the patient.

Dr Stocker was very nice and kind in the beginning when you are unable to take medications that you're allergic to then she becomes very annoyed. When your insurance refuses to pay for gastro stimulator she gets very annoyed and after that it becomes let's talk about dismissal. She won't do it in front of you; I will say she is nice but after being dismissed practice I wouldn't recommend her...

Dr. Stocker is a breath of fresh air. I've had bad experiences with a couple of local gi doctors, one was quite awful. I'm so thankful I was referred to Dr. Stocker. My disease is not common and Dr. Stocker takes an interest in it, unlike my previous doctor. She listens to my symptoms and always makes helpful suggestions. I have a great deal of confidence in her, definitely worth the drive downtown. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Stocker!
