Probably saved my life
I was admitted for an internal bleed and my hemoglobin levels had fallen drastically. Another hospital had told me I was fine and sent me on my way. I went to BS&W ER in Plano and they identified the bleed quickly and immediately took steps that stopped the bleed and began my recovery. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Shipchandler, Dr. Van Dinter, and the BS&W team for taking my issue seriously and taking immediate action. They took the time to answer questions and make sure I was on the course to recovery.

Best M.D.
Dr Shipchandler was my daughter's Hospitalist at BS&W, Plano from November, 2018 until the end of February, 2019. Hers was a challenging and ever changing case but Dr. Shipchandler could always be counted on to keep the staff and our family updated about all changes in my daughter's condition and treatment plan. We will always be grateful for his care.

He speaks so fast that you can’t understand a single word. Is full of himself, does not listen. Other doctors at Baylor Plano have been much nicer and smarter. He misdiagnosed my mother and never apologized for it either when she has to be admitted again. He tries to act super friendly but it’s annoying and he isn’t thorough. Doesn’t let you even speak.

Awful physician. Didn’t speak to me, didn’t examine me. I think he decided that I appeared old so must be demented. I’ve had a stroke in the past so takes me a little time to speak but I can speak. He walked into my room and walked out for the 3 days I had him without even touching me. On the 4th day another doctor had me who sat down and talked to me and listened. Next time I hope I don’t get him. Love Baylor Plano but not him.

He saw me at Baylor Plano and was very condescending. He lied about consulting my GI, took forever to see me as his patient, and finally showed up with terrible bedside manners and a worse attitude accompanying that. He couldn't even listen to a word I said for talking at me with all the lies he'd piled up. Basically because he never did what he was supposed to do in treating me as a patient. First he took his time to show up, then he heaped most of his work on the poor nurse (who had to page him over & over again). This is one of the most unprofessional doctors I've ever sen and I would never recommend him to anyone. In fact, I would encourage any future patients to avoid him if possible. Too bad he's spoiling the name of Baylor Plano, which is typically a good hospital. Dr. Shipchandler is a disgrace of the highest order.

Dr. Shipchandler is a very intelligent internist with a kind and compassionate bedside manner. He walked my family through the final hours of my Dad’s life while treating him with the utmost dignity and care. I could not imagine a better doctor to have at our sides during this very difficult time.

Awesome and very knowlegeable. Great bedside manners and one of the best I have met that explains why he does the treatments or meds of his patients.
