Unprofessional
I would not recommend visiting Dr. Halabi. I came in for various reasons and did not feel heard. He cut me off when speaking, told me to try not eating lunch, compared me to a previous patient, and asked me what I could possibly be anxious about since my parents are not divorced and I am receiving an education. Not sure what that has to do with my symptoms... Overall, the worst and least professional interaction I have had with a doctor.

Insensitive and Rude
Dr. Halabi was one of the worst rheumatologists I've ever had. I felt gaslit and unheard. It was so bad I brought my male partner with me during my second visit because I felt like he wasn't listening to me because I was a woman. He was far more respectful to my male partner when he spoke than when I did. I would not recommend him.

Dismissive and Arrogant
After an extended wait for an appointment with Rheumatology, I was almost immediately informed by Dr. Kenj Halabi that my symptoms were likely indicative of depression or anxiety. Despite my objections, I was pressured to accept a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, or depression. It felt as though the diagnosis had been predetermined, and the entire conversation was focused on convincing me that I was seeking a diagnosis for an illness that only existed in my head. After getting a second opinion, I was diagnosed with a rare rheumatological disorder, rather than depression, fibromyalgia, or anxiety. While it's unlikely that Dr. Kenj Halabi would have been capable of reaching the correct diagnosis based on the rarity of my disease, the entire interaction was dismissive and made me feel as though I was a hypochondriac wasting his time. The experience stands in stark contrast to my interactions with my new rheumatologist, who provided a definitive diagnosis through biopsies and genetic testing.

Worst Doctor I have ever met
I waited 5 months to get in to him for pain due to what I thought was rheumatoid arthritis. He didn't listen, barely examined me and basically said it was because I was overweight. After I left I was very defeated. Luckily I saw a different physician who diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and with treatment I am now pain free. Also I am still overweight so that wasn't the root of the pain.

Do not recommend!
I strongly recommend AGAINST Dr. Halabi. My PCP referred me to rheumatology for chronic pain, a positive ANA titer, and a very strong family history of autoimmune disease. He was extremely rude, gaslit me, shamed me, and dismissed me without any help. He nearly laughed in my face for wanting to be evaluated for autoimmune disease, despite the possible indicator in my bloodwork and family history. The only suggestion he made was to start swimming regularly, but did not say why or suggest a routine to follow. He told me he was diagnosing me with Fibro & asked me to follow up with him in 6 months (for no apparent reason because he didn't want to help me). Then when I tried to schedule the follow-up, his clinic said he was ejecting me from his care because I didn't have any diagnoses that warranted seeing a rheumatologist, and they tried to block me from making an appointment with another provider. Later I was finally diagnosed with a genetic connective tissue disorder at another clinic.

Terrible doesn't listen and I don't think he likes women, only focused on my husband and blamed my condition on being overweight..
