Not helpful, didn’t care & not Knowledgeable
This doctor did not seem to care at all and was pretty much Useless. We waited 2 months to see him and absolutely nothing happened & he was absolutely no help. He scripted her to get another echo cardio gram in 2 months, recommended cardiac therapy and that’s it - also said don’t schedule after that because he’s leaving in a month; he also refused to do the required surgery says she doesn’t need it after her first echo cardio gram clearly indicated a bad leak in her mitral valve in which he wants her to take her meds less so he can see how badly it functions when she was already in the hospital for 3 and a half weeks due to it not functioning and she nearly died; she had all these tests done that shows how she needs surgery. I’m not a doctor but I understand that a LEAKY HEART does not physically improve on its own, nor does a medication make the hole go away - it gets worse with time, but that’s how he acted. He was no help at all. Wouldn’t schedule because he’s leaving.

No help from him or his staff. The prescribed medication in November of 2020, still has not approved as of today, March 12, 2021 ? No one follows up with the insurance company. If that's the case they have to call the insurance company and explain them the heart conditions and the patients history and the urgency of the medication.

I saw Dr. Hakeem at the V.A. Hosp. in Little Rock, AR. - Ischemic Heart Disease. Private Dr.'s told me nothing could be done with a 100 % blockage of my right coronary artery- a CTO (chronic total occlusion). I was close to dying when I saw Dr. Hakeem. He said he could fix the problem& scheduled the procedure for the next week! After 4.5 hrs, and assists from a great team and a Fellow from the UofA, he had drilled thru the blockage and inserted 3 stents! Success!& no one was happier then he!
