Dr. Abdelkader Hawasli, MD

Dr. Hawasli came into the examination room and told me that I was overweight and needed to go on a liquid diet for 2 weeks with 1 salad per day. First of all I am type 2 diabetic and that was not the reason I came to see him. I needed an upper GI according to my pcp. He was very rude and unprofessional and I would never recommend him.

He explains everything very well. He has done several surgeries for me and I trust him implicitly.,

Dr. Hawasli gave me my life back. I am 15 days post op after a 270 Toupet Fundoplication and I have no more reflux. The surgery was great, the recovery was easy, and now I don’t have reflux. GERD was ruining my life, I was aspirating acid into my lungs, developed asthma, the cells at the bottom of my esophagus were beginning to change, and I had chest muscle spasms whenever I tried to sleep on my left side (I basically couldn’t sleep on my left side). All of these pre-surgery symptoms are gone. I don’t have acid reflux anymore, my asthma is gone and I can sleep on my left side. Just like that. It’s like magic. The recovery hasn’t been bad at all, overall a very easy recovery, with minimal discomfort. The scars from the laparoscopic surgery are tiny. They’re not going to be noticeable once they heal. Dr. Hawasli is clearly one of the most experienced surgeons for these types of surgeries. I am very, very grateful to Dr. Hawasli for giving me my life back.

I felt Dr and Staff not friendly and listen to patient. They want to do a procedure that is not needed. Dr said to me after my first test that I can come back to see him to discuss. But the staff called me after first test and said I have to get second test which requires hospital procedure with anesthesia They would not let me come back to discuss with dr. So I did not do second procedure at hospital. After a year I went back to see the Dr about same pain and now he said I did not need that procedure and the pain is from something else he seen in the first test. So I was right not to do the second major procedure. They said they were doing second procedure for insurance purposes. Meanwhile they will put me through anesthesia to do the test I will not go back to this office ever again.

Dr. and his staff are FANTASTIC, very cordial and friendly. Dr. explaining everything and also listening to you. Thank you Carlo Englise Sr.

Dr. Hawasli was very kind and explained my medical issue thoroughly and completely. He answered my questions in terms that I could understand. He treated me with kindness, care and respect. He allowed me time to make my decision regarding surgery without feeling pressured. I have confidence in his knowledge and skill as a surgeon.

Worst experience. I was miss treated. Very rude staff. Office manager was respectful and tried to help. Overall I will never recommend this office. Office needs a new set of staff or customer service training.

I am evaluating Dr. Abdelkader Hawasli, MD as both a nurse who worked with him during his residency and a former patient. Dr. Hawasli is an outstanding surgeon and physician. He is personable, thorough, caring, and innovative. He is a visionary and pioneer in the field of laparoscopic surgery. Highly recommended.

When I selected Dr. Hawasali, I heard he doesn't have a bedside manner. After meeting him, I really didn't see that and he answered all my questions about surgery and my recovery. He was very attentive. I followed his instructions to a "t" and i can say that my surgery was a success!! I would recommend him to anyone!

I was a bit nervous to go see Dr. Hawasli after reading some of the previous reviews. YES I had to wait 3 hours to actually see him. Looking back, I realize that there is a wait because he is THE BEST. Between his consultations and followup appointments I do understand why they cram in appointments for him. It honestly made me feel good knowing that there were so many people waiting for him, that's a sign of a good doctor! I have Crohn's disease and was referred to Dr. Hawasli by my GI doc. Dr.

Just recommended my 84 year old aunt to him, who recently was diagnosed with achalasia. I have had achalasia for over 30 years, and Dr. Hawasli found a much less risky surgery to do on me to give me relief, versus the esophaectomy I had been told I needed. He is well regarded in his field and gives great care. Only complaint is wait time can get a little long, but he takes his time with his patients. A virtual genius in the medical field.

Dr Hawasli i feel is a fantastic surgeon remove my thyroid and i never had any pain or excess bleeding, 1 day in the hospital and home. I would never hesitate to see him for ANY problems i might behaving. Dr Hawasli came very highly RECOMMENDED, and i am so glad he is now my Doctor. I know some people complain about the wait time in the waiting room, That is because Dr Hawasli takes his time with his patients he is not one to run in and out in 15 mins, if you need more time to ask questions

This man misdiagnosed and after two disastrous surgeries undoubtedly killed my father. I despise this man. Do not go to him.

Had to go under a second surgery because he did not tell me how to properly care for my wound. No proper follow up for wound care and monitoring

Dr. Hawasli is an amazing surgeon. He removed a 10cm and growing cyst inside my spleen laparoscopically with minimal blood loss and retained most of my spleen when other surgeons wanted to perform an open surgery or a total splenectomy and said it would be complicated. He also got me scheduled for surgery quickly after our first appointment when other doctors wanted me to wait months. I am grateful and owe Dr. Hawasli my health. I recommend him to anyone who needs a general surgeon.

Dr. Hawasli & staff has been the best through my entire weight loss surgery experience. They do get busy & the office visits can be a bit long, but the Doctor takes the necessary time to listen to & answer your questions & concerns. I have lost over 100 lbs as a result of this surgery & Dr Hawasli's follow up & care have been superb. When asked if I'd do it again, my answer is a resounding yes! However it wont be necessary!!!
