Dismissed by doctor
Dr. Sheikh showed me little to no empathy upon my visit. His initial reaction to my visit was to dismiss and challenge me for the same symptoms I was going to GI Specialists over the course of 3-5 years. He was inconsiderate to my concerns but ultimately agreed to run tests. My tests came back with severe exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and CT scan confirmed I have gallstones. I just wanted help from a doctor to figure out what was going on, which I knew there was a reason for my symptoms. Dr. Sheikh is my gastroenterologist but I needed to see a doctor asap. I was in a bad place and only cared about getting help. In any other situation, I would have walked out of the visit and never gone back to this doctor ever again. I do not recommend this doctor if you are in my situation. He should not be a doctor if this is how he treats his patients.

Wait time is unacceptable. An hour and 15 minutes late for an appointment made 3 months ago. Then tried talking directly to the patient who has aphasia while he was wearing a mask as if she could understood him. Also asked for information that could've been collected had his staff bothered to request we keep records prior to coming in to see the Dr. He's a bit condescending with his tone and attitude when he should be working to improve his punctuality so he's not leaving his patients waiting so long.

No regard for consideration of patient's time
Brought my 76 year old mother in for a consultation that is required for a discussion so we could schedule a year follow up colonoscopy after she had colorectal cancer removal surgery last year. (Not sure why a consultation is required for this other than so the medical practice can charge hundreds of dollars for the office visit.) Our appointment was for 9:00am. We waited for well over half an hour in the room. I went to ask someone in the office when we would be seen by the doctor. I was informed that Dr. Sheikh "tends to run late" on his patients but that we would be seen next. I asked if he was even in the office. The PA gave an uncomfortable look/smirk to a coworker who in turn made the same facial expression and said yes, and you are next to be seen. The fact that he "tends to run late" on his patients shows total lack of respect for their time. It's also unacceptable that no one in the office even checks in on you after leaving you waiting for 45 minutes to let you know an eta.

DR HAS AN EGO my daughter, she is a college student went to see Dr.Sheikh yesterday3,16, 2021, came home and upset and crying, she said “ Dr.Sheikh verbally harassed , emotionally stressed me by not listening to me with my GI problems and not believing me “ instead accused my daughter by eating out , causing spreading coronavirus around and arguing with her why not taking coronavirus vaccine, It is not Dr. Bussiness or jurisdiction to judge her lifestyle and he didn’t give her a chance to discuss her other GI issues with the Dr.Sheikh, He is very condescending and talked down to her,I am writing this review because I don’t want future patients to experience unprofessional behavior of Dr. Asiam Sheikh.

My husband and I were well taken care of by Dr. Aasim Sheikh. We would like to thank him for giving us his time and attention. My husband and I are very happy that we were able to find Dr. Sheikh. We are from the pacific islands, all the way from the other side of the globe. It was worth the trip to visit this wonderful, caring and straightforward individual. Dr Sheikh’s assistants Lynn, Meghan and the other two ladies that work in the office are wonderful people, as well. We both highly recommend you to pay Dr. Sheikh a visit. Faafetai. Thanks a lot #TEAMSHEIKH GOD BLESS

I've been a patient of Dr. Sheikh since 2010, and I rely on him for all my GI needs. I rate him as excellent. He is professional and very thorough and has excellent communication skills. He tells me what he thinks, and I respect his medical knowledge. In addition, I like Dr. Sheikh very much...a great guy.
