Dr. Aaron O'Brien, MD

I didn't trust his empathy responses. He seemed a bit phoney to me.

Have an ankle that had been degrading for years. Two other doctors took one look and jumped straight to recommending full joint replacement. Dr. O’Brien did full work up (X-Ray, MRI, and CT scan), we discussed options, and he performed a corrective surgery that was a total success. More range of motion, way less pain, and A LOT more mobility! Plus, I keep my natural joint for many more years. At every encounter (office, surgery, and follow-ups), Dr. O’Brien and his team demonstrated superb medical care, outstanding “bedside manner,” sincere concern for patient well-being, and we’re just great all the way around! Strongly recommend Dr. O’Brien and his team to anyone and everyone!

I saw Dr. O'Brien concerning a chronic knee issue. He explained that he was an ankle/foot specialist, but that he would examine me and refer me to a knee specialist if appropriate. He got the details of my medical history, reviewed the x-rays taken, explained the problem, and recommended a trial of cortisone injections before proceeding to consideration of knee replacement. He gave me the injection, answered my questions, and I as on my way. I was feeling significant pain relief within a couple of hours, and will not hesitate to schedule any future appointments with Dr. O'Brien for additional injections or to discuss referral to a knee specialist.

Dr. O'brien is largely responsible for my being alive today, and I am eternally grateful for his skill and knowledge. In December 2020, I had a serious motorcycle accident in which I rode off a large embankment and hit trees and boulders before coming to rest in a riverbed about 40' below. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and crushed 4 vertebrae along with 17 other broken bones. Dr. O'brien was a main member of a team that expertly put me back together and spared me from a couple of amputations which I believe would have occured if most other doctors had treated those injuries. Today, I am well on the way to a full recovery and almost pain free. I can't say enough about Dr. O'brien's brilliance and excellent care. Enough said!

Dr. O’Brien was very knowledgeable and easily explained what was happening with my bones. He preformed surgery to correct the problems on one side. The follow up visits have been good. He was personable and answered my questions well. I am still healing, but I look forward to having full use and ease of movement.

I am one year out from total ankle replacement surgery. I have had complete confidence with Dr. O'Brian. He has been so calming and professional throughout the whole process. I believe he is a talented, experienced, and skilled ankle surgeon. I am so grateful to have had Dr. O'Brian here in St. George Utah to repair my ankle. The surgery went perfect and I am back to enjoying activities that I love again without pain. I would highly recommend Dr. O'Brian.

I must have been not been paying full attention when I searched for Dr. Obrien to his specialty I think he specializes in limbs mostly However he was able to offer his opinion/help on another Ortho problem I was having and offer recommendations. He is very nice HOW people treat/act/ talk to me really matters to me and very highly rated online so that is why I wanted to see him and I don't know many people to get opinions from so I just went with what thought. I'll keep him in mind for future treatment reference and He is one of the best I've met so far. As far as their phone system at the building he works I don't care for it they are long wait/hold times and wait times outside the treatment room/general waiting area can be crazy long. Wait times in the treatment areas are ok.

Dr. O’brien and his staff are very caring and thorough. He explained my ankle injury and how he was going to fix it. I am so grateful to him and his staff. I highly recommend him.
