Not recommended for MS patients
I thought I was the only one, however I am going to “second” this reviewer’s, review: I could not have said it better myself. So I won’t, DEAD ON. “Dr. Miller was personable, asked very detailed questions, and took a thorough history. If you have MS, I would not recommend this neurologist.” After an initial visit and every 6 months thereafter he had NO suggestions, NO input whatsoever on any kind of strategy & literally done nothing to address my ever changing symptoms & needs. Again, every six months Dr. Miller sends me on my way to be even more deteriorated & devastated. “That’s multiple sclerosis,” Dr. Miller says….. EVERY VISIT!!!!!! Nothing more &&&& nothing less. “That’s multiple sclerosis!!! That’s multiple sclerosis!!!!!” I truly believe he’s under-qualified for multiple sclerosis patients.

Unimpressed - Not for MS Patients
Dr. Miller was personable, asked very detailed questions, and took a thorough history. If you have MS, I would not recommend this neurologist. After an initial visit and a follow up over 6 months to address my recent onset of symptoms, he had no suggestions, no input whatsoever on any kind of strategy to address my inflammation and related issues. He didn't even perform a basic physical exam. At both visits he seemed focused on correcting my terminology rather than addressing my issues. He basically patted me on the head and sent me on my way, and said see you in another 6 months. I came to Dr. Miller because he was closer to home than my previous Dr. I ended up back with my original neurologist who was full of ideas and strategies, new medication information, and old school treatments which resolved every problem I was experiencing. Dr Miller specializes in migraine headaches. I am sure he is an excellent resource in that specialty, but I cannot recommend him for MS patients.

Dr. Miller shows a great amount of kindness, compassion, and devotion to all of his patients. Extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to! I am finally on a healing path, all because of him. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would!

Poor Beside Manner
Incredibly dismissive. When certain health conditions and concerns were asked about he became insulted. He does not have the answer to my symptoms while in the hospital for several days therefore when suggesting to rule out certain things, he became insulted and said I didn’t know what I was talking about. He has little to no patience or understanding.

Amazing doctor
This doctor was so sweet and patient with me. He really took the time to make me feel comfortable and understand all of the information I was given. I got to have all my questions answered in a way I could understand, and had very little to no wait time!

I struggle to believe any ratings with 2-5 stars for this doctor! Dr. Miller was absolutely awful! He acted like my daughter and I were a complete bother to his day, greeted us by saying 'we have 23 minutes to figure this out'. He stated that since primary already ordered EEG and MRI that there was nothing he could do to help my daughter and sent us on our way. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!! He will do nothing to help you!

Miller did not put any effort into my case whatsoever. He was content to blame my problems on a diagnosis inconsistent with my symptoms, and blame the inconsistencies on anxiety. I told him that this is not the case, and it went in one ear and out the other. Only reason he's not getting a 1 star is because isn't a pillpusher, which I respect. Don't see this doctor if you want someone to actually think about the symptoms you present.

Dreyer referred me to 5 neurologists as they did not have one for me to see at their location. I chose Dr. Miller based on reviews I had read. I arrived early the day of my appointment and was seen before my appointment time and not kept waiting. Dr. Miller was very attentive, and listened carefully to my history. Unbelievably, I was not prescribed any medicine as Dr. Miller suggested I take tests to rule things out first. I cannot tell you what a relief that was! The day of testing I was very anxious but doctor talked to me throughout and this kept me calm and distracted. He was able to go over results right there and then and gave a thorough explanation of what his findings were. I was very pleased with my whole experience and will see Dr. Miller again or recommend friends and family if need be.

Dr. Miller is excellent and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor in the South Elgin and surrounding area. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen for my appointments and the office staff is very professional and welcoming, especially Eva! Dr. Miller takes the time to get to know his patients and has proven himself to be very knowledgeable regarding my overall health, both physical and mental.

I have been a patient of Dr. Miller's for several years. He has always been very professional. He actually cares about his patients, unlike most dr's these days. He takes the time to actually listen to his patients and makes suggestions on certain things to improve your overall health. His receptionist is also amazing!

Noticeable that his reviews were great and then suddenly the past few months they've been very poor. Though I'm sure he is qualified to provide information on neurology, he could be more personable for a more positive patient experience. Came off as condescending at times and didn't express caring about my pain the way all other medical professionals have. However, Eva the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Showed very little to no concern about my recurring headaches. Abruptly dismissed session by not taking into account what I told him and instead coming up with something irrelevant and highly unlikely. I would not recommend this person
