I am saddened to read the bad reviews.
My experience was quite the opposite. He saw me after a horrible concussion which caused me debilitating migraines, and was unable to work for months. He treated me with such care and allowed me to sit in his dark office or any other available room while I waited for my appointment because he knew the lights would trigger a migraine or exacerbate existing migraine. When I didn’t have a ride home, I couldn’t drive with my migraines, his office staff would drive me home without compensation. I’ve never had another doctor treat me so humanely and be so sensitive to my needs, I did not experience any sales or pressure to use or have test that were unnecessary. I still see a neurologist and it’s unfortunate that he moved away and had to switch neurologists because no other neuro is as thorough, and thoughtful as he.

Uses scare tactics to try and retain patients. Is not an MS specialist but claims to be one. Wouldn’t trust this man!

I saw Dr. Heide for over a year and it was the worst. Saw him maybe twice before he passed me off. Everyone of his clients got the same 50 (extremely expensive tests), files of move were lost, labs fully disappeared. His office staff was just as bad as he was, hiding information, unwilling to release information, and extremely rude.

NO!!!! Horrible! I waited 6 mo per appt, 1 1/2 yrs for diagnosis after MRI, PET, 2 Lumbar Punctures, every blood test imaginable, $50,000+. He canceled 1 day before diagnosis appt. My 9 requests for my medical records were grossly ignored, nurse (not Dr. or PA) was curt, uncooperative and irritated when asked for more info for my family. Told me my diagnosis...reluctantly--Alzheimers. Get you affairs in order and you don't need to change any habits, (wine, exercise, your cerrabellum low function, etc. Turns out-2nd opinion- I did have some Alcohol Related Brain Damage (2-3 glasses/day 40 years) so be careful out there. I stopped drinking, so memory better now. 9 months of hell and family panic for nothing. N. Nv has shortage of Neuro Drs but anything but this office. All this was AFTER 2 long complaints to the Office Mgr, and promises of improved care. I'd give less then 0!!! One of 3 bad reviews I've ever given. But check reviews. Dr my be ok, only saw him 1x. Horrible care though!

Dr. Heide is the worse and so is his staff. Order all sorts of tests, with no diagnosis insight, just left me with unanswered questions and a lot of money out of my pocket and my insurance company’s pocket. Beware, he will set you up to see a Nutritionist who happens to be his wife who will try to sell you a product called Arbonne.

Went to Dr Heide for almost two years. I was told a different thing every time I went. I only saw Dr Heide twice, once when I went to see him initially and the next time was when I demanded to see him. They have never given me a diagnosis, but kept changing what they "thought" the problem was. I was sent for a lot of very expensive test and quite of few of them not being covered by my insurance. I specifically told them I did not want any test that were not covered by my insurance. I would not go here!!! Find someone else!!!

Dr Heide’s office is terrible. I would never recommend anyone to his office. Expensive tests ordered, never seem to get answers. His ego is so huge and he was very arrogant. He made me feel like he was rushing through my appt. I also notice different staff working there in a short time, must have a high turnover rate. Not surprising. If you have a chance, please go to another office

I was referred by another Dr, to Dr Heide, not knowing anything about him. His ego is so large that it enters the room before he does. He ordered 16 + blood tests, 2 or 3 nor covered by medicare!! He also scheduled me for several ultrasounds ALL at his OWN clinic.......telling me that Carson Tahoe technicians are "idiots"!! His ultrasound Sr tech told me, they have the BEST equipment, but all tests were done by handheld equipment, no CATscan or other type of equipment. Also, I was denied copies of all of my tests or evaluations completed by him or his techs, until he was completely done with me! I found another Neurologist, Dr Pednekar, who I highly recommend, so now I am COMPLETELY done with Dr Heide!!

Agree with all the poor reviews. Although I was seen quickly for my initial visit, a short consult with Dr Heide resulted in thousands of dollars worth of tests ordered. Results were delivered by a NP who did not inspire confidence. Received referral to a neurosurgeon and another appointment with the NP. I was unable to get an appointment with the doctor for months AND I was told that an appointment was necessary to get a referral to see a different neurologist.

Worst experience with a medical office in my life. It appears they exist only to order expensive tests. There's absolutely no follow up and after months I don't know any more than I did in the beginning. They say they'll do something and they don't. They say they'll give a diagnosis and they don't. And on top of that Dr. Heide is arrogant and unresponsive. Don't waste your time with this medical practice.

I have had at least 7 appointments. Each time I'm told I have brain disease, 2 genetic & 1 auto immune, all non treatable ending in death. Most appointments I think I will see him but instead it is an assistant who says Dr. Heide spoke to her. I believe they bill Medicare as a Dr. seeing me but no questions can be ask, you need to get an appointment with the Dr. All above diseases have been false.

This WAS my wife’s Neurologist but she could only take so much ineptness; wrong coding on screenings and tests causing insurance to deny payment, calls made to the office to get the problem corrected only to have them take no action. My wife’s health has worsened since she has been seen here. I nor my have experienced such unprofessional treatment from a physician.

He may be a good dr. But he is impossible to get into see. I’ve seen him twice in 8 months. The second time I had an appointment they had to reschedule me and I had to wait 2 months. I had an appointment to see him first of June and they had to reschedule me to Aug because he wasn’t going to be there. He gives you 15 minutes even if you need more time. He just cuts you off. So if you want an Dr that will listen and hear you concerns go else were. In 8 months I got 30 minutes of his time.

Should have read these reviews before I went to him. The worst I have been treated by a doctor. Had me do several expensive tests. Then sent his nurse to discus results with me. Prescribed vitamin B12 shots. I asked her if it would help my problem head. She did not even know about my problem. Scary! Totally incompetent and dysfunctional clinic. Please, please, don't make an appointment. And if you already have, just cancel it and run the other way. You have been warned.

He asked ME to be his patient. Gave me nothing but one expensive test after another. 5 MRI'S in two weeks and many more. Usually sent to nurse for appts. Never returned calls. Office staff said he never calls patients. Once I had to go on Medicaid he dumped me as a patient. I have a serious medical condition. I truly believe he is just in this for the money. I left a doctor for him and he does not care at all. Office Mgr. covers for Heidi. Real smoothie. NEVER go here. Seniors WATCH OUT TOO!
