Biography: Dr. Timothy L. Blackburn, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist with Midwest Heart & Vascular Specialists in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Blackburn is board certified and has special interests in cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Dr. Blackburn has had the pleasure of practicing and treating patients his entire career in the Kansas City area since 1992.Dr. Blackburn has served in various leadership roles for hospitals, including director of non-invasive cardiology and co-director of nuclear medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Blackburn earned his medical degree from Kansas University Medical School in 1986, and completed a residency at Kansas University Medical Center in 1988. He also completed a fellowship in Cardiology with the Kansas University Medical Center and an additional fellowship at the University of Virginia in Nuclear Cardiology in 1991.
