Patterson Avenue Family Practice

This is the worst practice, and I use the term 'practice' lightly. Can't get an appointment, if you are sick they tell you to go to Urgent Care or Patient First because you may be contagious. If you have a serious problem, they take days to reply and then tell you if you need to be seen prior to your next appointment, go to Urgent Care. They won't diagnose any problem without major tests, even minor conditions. They only want your money. They also charge $478 for an office visit and televisit. And the place is filthy. Go at your own risk or save yourself the trouble and go to Patient First, far superior care.

We established at this practice 2 years ago and were charged a fee to become patients of the provider. We really liked our provider but unfortunately he left. Every year for my annual physical which is covered 100% by insurance, I had major billing issues that took months to sort with Bon Secour and the office. Now, the provider has left and they have no male providers for my husband to see. On top of that, I was sent an 'estimate' for my next annual physical which should be 100% covered. When I asked the office about it, they said it was because of a new billing program and VA law, but I would not actually be charged the fee. After the last couple of years and billing problems, I do not trust that I will not have months of billing issues. So, we are leaving this practice and I cannot recommend it to others.

A Special Education teacher injured on the job was sent here for X-Rays by mistake. Reception was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful.
