I visited the Texarkana Emergency Center to get a tetanus shot. I was there less than ten minutes and that was only because of the amount of paperwork I had to fill out. I was never touched by the doctor, he simply asked me why I wanted the shot and I pointed to my ankle. He said ok and the nurse administered the shot while I was still filling out my paperwork. Not only was I surprised to receive a bill reflecting $2,746.44 in charges, I am even more surprised to receive the first bill, nearly eight months later, from Texarkana Emergency Physicians, another $1,395.26 in charges.
