We have gone here for years- but began being frustrated when at my sons last couple appts, dr pounds called my son’s behavior “weird” and laughed it off, saying he would grow out of it. It took over a year for me to finally fight that opinion and get him assessed on my own to find out he has autism and sensory processing disorder. We could have gotten him assessed and the support he needed sooner had she taken us seriously. Then this last week, we saw dr smith who said my boys had pneumonia- and that it wasn’t contagious and prescribed amoxicillin. 1) pneumonia is highly contagious which I knew working in a hospital but anyone unaware could have caused serious illness among others. 2) after 6 days their symptoms are not improved, took them to another practice today and it’s bronchitis- amoxicillin wasn’t doing anything for their symptoms other than prolonging them and this doctor got them the meds and nebulizer they needed. We will not be back and will not trust them with our kids.
