I had a doctor appointment today and once I came to the office they told me that I have a $177.00 deductible and I advised them that I have a co-pay of $50.00 the receptionist lied and stated that she called my insurance and they stated that I had a deductible and then gave me a card and asked me to reschedule my appointment once I get it figured out, I called my insurance company and they verified my benefits and stated that I have a $50.00 co-pay, Cindy Gilbert stated that she couldn't get my insurance to answer the phone to verify benefits so she looked at my card and decided to charge me the deductible amount but they were never upfront and why would you call to verify benefits the day of my appointment and then not be truthful, and then she wouldn't even apologize for the mistake she stated that she had nothing to apologize about and she did all she could do. You did absolutely nothing a patient should never walk away feeling like I did today.
