Dr. Dudek willfully inserted the WRONG LENS
I wouldn't send my worst enemy to see Dr. Dudek, and especially not for surgery. I was referred to her by my optometrist for consultation on a very minor, newly-developed cataract. Dr. Dudek and her staff sold me hard on the need for cataract intraocular lens (IOL) replacement surgery. She and her staff led me to believe that my vision would be perfect following my surgery, and they also sold me on an 'upgraded' lens they promoted as being similar to my original, natural lens regarding the ability to focus and see at various distances.Of course, my insurance wouldn't cover much of the costs of the surgery, so I was informed I'd have to pay $5,000 out of pocket for the surgery. I agreed and we scheduled a date for my IOL cataract surgery. The day of the surgery, I showed up at the scheduled time. Then I waited, and waited, and waited. After a couple of hours, Dr. Dudek came out of the surgical suite in her scrubs to inform me that they did not have my lens on hand for the surgery
