I was referred to Dr Patel many years ago by my PCP for psoriasis. Have been countless times over the years and have never seen a doctor, always a PA who just prescribed topical creams. After unrelated cancer surgery, had another visit and was prescribed new oral immune system-suppressing drugs. Skeptical about the safety of using this after stage 3 cancer and chemo, I requested another appointment with an actual doctor to discuss it, which was scheduled. On that appointment, the "doctor" was unsure about the immune system questions, and kept researching the medication on her Iphone. She finally agreed to be safe, I should stick with topicals. I found out later that she was a Nurse Practitioner.
