Dr Battista in the ER
My autistic son was a patient in the ER last night and Dr Amanda Battista was his doc. I am 500 miles away so I spoke to her on the phone and as a trained trauma ER nurse I suggested/requested a head CT d/t the mechanism of the injury from the motorcycle accident. She agreed and hung up or so she thought but I then heard her mocking me to other staff or whoever was with her. Laughing at me saying “who is she to tell me what to do. Nurses can’t order CT’s”. When I told her I could still hear her she just hung up on me mid sentence. I would never recommend this hospital or this doctor to anyone!
