Healthwise Family Practice, Barnwell SC

I was originally a patient of Barnwell Family Medicine until I over heard one of their doctors bad mouthing me to his nurse. My wife was a patient of Mrs. Wise and I had been impressed by her attitude and friendliness when she went, so I decided to leave my original provider. As a patient of hers now, she has always been super friendly, informative, and helpful when it comes to any illness I have. There have been times when I had to wait an hour or so for a visit, but that's to be expected at times. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with her, her staff, and her practice overall.

I saw Ms. Wise several months while employed in Barnwell, SC. After starting new job, I requested a transfer to Aiken, SC since this helped me over the past few years working during COVID and facing difficulty taking off almost entire day for appointments. I am fortunate to have job closer home now and asked about returning to see Sharon 1/23. Initially, told by office “yes, we are always taking patients.” Called back to set-up appointment, told by Dianne “I will check and see if she will accept you back since have been a patient. I will call you Monday.” I called back Tuesday and informed by Dianne that Ms. Wise said “No. We are too busy and working with skeletal crew. Don’t have time to see you.” (guess true answer was didn’t accept me back, because just said 2-3 days ago accepting new patients) I was very disappointed. My spouse has seen Sharon over 15 years and I always considered her exceptional. Very disappointing. Not to mention being directly lied to during call today.
