I called to ask what insurance they accepted and if they could offer a list of primary care doctors who refered to this hospital. The conversation turned into one of that things in Puerto Rico are very different from Ohio and after 30 mins all i got was that I needed to wait (?). I am in the process of getting my mom a new insurance and needed a doctor that could refer her to a good hospital. Her recommendation was that Centro Medico had the best equipment and doctors. This was not helpful because in Centro Medico my mom waited 2 days in a common area with a broken arm and hip in a very deteriorated facility without nursing staff available to give my mom the care she needed. If the lady recommended Centro Medico as the best, then something must be very wrong with this hospital. I can’t evaluate treatment as I could not get the info needed to give access to my mom.
