Unorganized and subpar care
I found out I was pregnant and called to make an appointment. Of course I was asked to wait until closer to 8 weeks. I figured this was because there was going to be a scan and bloodwork, etc done. I went in on the scheduled day: all that was done was me peeing in a cup to 'confirm' my pregnancy. (but not with blood work or anything that would tell me if my HCG levels were good, or how far along I might be) She also handed me a list of approved medications to take during pregnancy. My thoughts are, wouldn't this have been more helpful WEEKS ago? Like say when I first called to make the appointment. This 'pregnancy conformation' appointment could have been scheduled before. or at the very least tell your patients what to expect on their first visit. I wouldn't have wasted mine or my husband's time. My vitals were never taken either, no temperature, no blood pressure, not heart rate, etc. I would think this would be important information to know on a newly pregnant woman. This is my 1st
