I tried ...
I went to initial appointment, where I was interviewed by a PA who, ofcourse, found I needed a sleep study, back in May. The Sleep clinic called me a week later and set a date for a month out, which seemed reasonable. Then two days before the appointment, they called to confirm the appointment and announce a new security protocol that they were implementing. It was, before the new system, that the appointment was scheduled for 8:30pm. Patient would enter through the ER department and the ER would confirm the appt. and allow the person to enter the hospital proper. The person would follow the directions to the elevators and make their way to the clinic and get ready for bed. The NEW security plan is that patient must arrive prior to main hospital lobby closing and wait in lobby for two+ hours for clinicians to arrive and take you up stairs. I cannot simply allow myself to be treated like that. There are other clinics that want business.
