Our son is intact (not circumcised) and we had many near misses with unknowledgeable doctors attempting to retract his foreskin while he was in the NICU. We asked Rocket Pediatrics if they’d be okay with leaving his diaper on at wellchecks before he was even born (because we expected to have this issue) and they were fine with it. Well after he’s born, they were pressuring us at every appointment to let them check his genitals. We continued saying no and they dropped us as patients. I spent a lot of time researching and interviewing pediatricians BEFORE my child was born for a reason. We’re not happy. I’d suggest they learn proper intact care and perhaps parents wouldn’t be so worried about the potential for them to hurt their baby boys. Either way, there’s no need to poke around my baby’s genitals every month. No thank you. Gross.
