I went in to establish a PCP. I was immediately ignored and fat shamed. I stated I was looking for mental health diagnosis and was told that 'they don't do that for adults because it doesn't matter'. Then the physician tried to prescribe me 4 different things for issues I don't have because a side effect was 'weight loss'. She also tried to rediagnose autoimmune conditions I had professionally diagnosed by Tufts for over a decade because 'I wasn't showing symptoms' in her eyes. When I let the office know it wasn't a good fit and that I was not comfortable , they told me I couldn't change doctors. It took me 3 years to even try to see a different doctor due to terrible treatment, but this just reaffirmed there are just terrible doctors everywhere for me. Please save yourself the dignity and self respect.
