Farkas, Kassalow, Resnick and Associates

For many years I was a patient of Dr.Kolker who always accepted Medicare before she became associated with the Farkas group. As I was leaving and attempting to schedule a new appointment, the receptionist or front office person demanded payment of $157 for the 15 minute examination.There was no sign or other notice that the Farkas office did not accept Medicare and they demanded immediate payment of $157.When I objected and told the front office person that Dr. K always accepted Medicare, the front office person told me 'We do things differently in this office'. I am a 91 year old senior and my fighting days are over. Rather than cause an incident, I paid the $157 and left without making another appointment. I felt 'ripped off'. There was no sign in the office or other written or oral notice that the Farkas firm did not accept Medicare.Although I like Dr. K personally and respect her professionally, I would not recommend the Farkas firm to any senior on Medicare.

I am a regular patient of this practice. All of the doctors are totally professional, caring, and responsive. The staff is outstanding, and they always fit me in when I have an urgent need. I highly recommend Dr. Resnick in particular, but I have been seen by other doctors as well, all of whom have been excellent.
