The Opposite Of Therapeutic
Make sure to investigate a therapist before you open up to them and let them in so that they can influence you. I made that mistake with this guy and I wish I had read the reviews here first. Carl Christensen is not knowledgeable about psychology. I ended up having more information on it than he did. He was unable to answer my questions or provide any help to me in sessions, or even give definitive responses at all. Worse yet, he was downright unprofessional. It is just like the other person commented, he does cross boundaries and shares inappropriate personal opinions in session, even though I had asked him not to and he had agreed not to in our first session. And when he ended up doing it anyways I pointed it out and politely drew a boundary and told him he shouldn't be doing that, and his response was to drop me as a client and say I had 'too many issues for him to deal with', even though it was obviously because I was calling him out on unprofessional behavior.
