I called my OBGYN for an appointment for an issue that needed to be addressed. I stated I would be fine seeing any provider for the soonest available appt. OPTUM outsources their calls so when you call you never speak to anyone in office. I was booked for an appointment with a PRIMARY CARE doctor thanks to the incompetence of the employees hired by optum. This delayed my care and caused me severe emotional stress and physical pain. When I finally got an appt with a GYN the sonogram tech completed a full intravaginal ultrasound while I had a tampon in. She never even saw it or asked me to remove it or even repeat images. The incompetence and lack to patient care I have experienced in this office is horrible. It is extremely difficult to get medications refilled or anything from this office. The staff was very dismissive of my issue as if it was a miscommunication. As an RN who works in healthcare I am disgusted and I would NEVER recommend optum OBGYN or Optum in general to ANYONE.
