Matteucci Family Practice

Dr. Matteucci was our family dentist for appx 6 years. A few months back I took my two children (ages 8 and 12) in for their routine check up and cleaning. At that time we were told my son had one cavity, which was treated, and otherwise they were good to go. The following week we went to an orthodontist. They were taking photos for braces and the person says, “you’re going to have to get all these cavities filled before she can get braces.” So naturally I’m shocked because we were just cleared by Dr. Matteucci the week before, who said she had no cavities . We got a second opinion . According the exam, the new dentist stated that the child had 12 cavities and needed two root canals ! The decay had gone on for so long that my 12 year old needs root canals . We got a third opinion; it matched the second, confirming a 12 year old needs two root canals. Having found out that extreme conflict in exams, I I knew to get my son checked as well… again, over 10 cavities & needed teeth removed
