Money is top priority here! They do not allow you to leave without paying way more than you will owe after insurance pickup. For an office visit to order orthotics, my husband and I were forced to pay more than our $30 co-pay, then had to fight to get the money back after insurance settled with them. They billed me over $90 and my husband over $600 (he doesn't question these things)! Then after insurance settled, they said there was a subsequent visit for my husband that had not yet settled so they did not want to return the money until insurance had resolved that visit, which had nothing to do with the $600. Last year they billed me over $200 and (my fault) I did not look at the EOB. I only owed $30 but was not aware. They did return the money, but not until a year later! Don't walk away from this office. RUN!
