The staff at the front desk of the Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey were horrendous in their behavior. They were loud, condescending and unapologetic in their rudeness. We were using a Flexible Spending Visa card for our copay and the women at the front desk were so nasty. We had to call our employer to facilitate the payment as our cards were new. When we were holding for a representative, the women at the desk began loudly threatening to cancel our appointments on the spot. "You don't have your card working, so you're going to have to come back!" They were speaking so loudly that practically everyone in the waiting area could hear, including the doctor, whose professional demeanor was extremely lacking. In the exam room, the nameless doctor appeared intimidated as the tech argumentatively defended her coworkers at the front desk. We decided to forego the examination and go someplace where our patronage could be appreciated and were we would be treated with the respect we deserve.
