Radiology Associates

I had multiple scans performed at AMI. Each and every time, the staff was exceptionally kind and courteous. Unfortunately, this only goes so far when things are missed in the scans. Because a bowel defect was missed, it was very difficult finding a surgeon who would take me seriously. In all, it took 18 months of doctor visits to resolve my relentless pain and suffering. Thankfully, I found an incredible surgeon who took me seriously and performed an exploratory laparotomy. He fixed the defect in my bowel and restored my quality of life.

My wife went in for a mamogram, gave her insurance card, and we later received a bill from Advanced Medical Imaging for $808 (google says average charge for mamogram is $100 to $200. Called and asked if insurance had been filed and was told I would have to talk to insurace. Insurance said that only needed to file claim as Radioloty Assoc instead of Advanced Medical Imaging. I called back and asked that a corrected bill be filed from Radiology Associates, they refused. If you look google Advanced Medical and Radiology Assoc., both are located at 7601 Pioneers, and if you call the phone number listed for Radiology Associates 402-484-6677, it is answered by Advanced Medical? What's the difference? Knowing our insurance carrier, why would they bill us under Advanced, when they must know that only Radiology Assoc. is covered? What kind of scam is being run here? Same location, same phone, but billing under two separate names?
