I have been working with Nephrology Associates of Lexington for about two years now. I have terminal cancer and chronic kidney disease. Almost every time I need a refill, or if a doctor prescribes a new medicine, they never seem to call it in. Most of the time, I have to repeatedly call, day after day for many days, to get them to call it in. They always tell me it's been called in already, but that is not the truth. When I call the pharmacists, they have no record of any prescription from NAL. There have even been instances where I have had to wait more than 2 weeks to get my meds. Just yesterday, they called in a prescription that was supposed to have been filled about a month ago and has since been changed to a new med. I am moving to UK Nephrology, which is a 3 1/2 hour roundtrip for me, rather than stay with NAL which is only a 10 minute drive because if they can't be trusted to fill my meds, how can I trust them to take care of my kidney?
