Solon Family Practice Clinic

I have discontinued as a patient at the Solon clinic for a variety of reasons. I recently had an appointment for a blood draw, and at the time was suffering from shingles, and requested that I see the Doctor. I was told she was too busy, and I needed to get another appointment. I was in much discomfort, so I made a same day appointment with another clinic and received treatment. I later returned to the Solon clinic for follow up, and was billed for $244 as my Medicare deemed that to be an unnecessary appointment. There is too much turnover of nursing and clerical staff to maintain any degree of competency, and they are virtually impossible to contact by phone or otherwise. I couldn't even make contact with them during normal operating hours to cancel an appointment and inform them that I quit the clinic. I have changed my PCP to a Cedar Rapids Mercy affiliate, which is less convenient, but offers better care.
