I went in for my annual physical. This is free under my insurance. During my visit, I told them I was having trouble sleeping, and they wrote me a prescription for a sleep aid. Then, they submitted a claim to my insurance company for a 'problem focused office visit' because they did a 'work up for insomnia'. WHAT??? I ended up owing $133 because I said I was having trouble sleeping.

My whole family have been going to this practice for almost 20 years. All the doctors and nurse practitioners are wonderful. However, the front desk and administrative staff are just awful, and getting worse by the day. I went for blood work this morning, arriving at 10:15 am. They said I actually had a 10am doctor's appointment and I was late, so the doctor can see me in 3 weeks and blood work won't be until 2:30 pm (while their lab was practically empty with zero people in line). They were just so rude and absolutely didn't care.The worst is yet to come. They then offered to do my lab work while I was there, without having to wait and fast for an additional 4 hours until 2:30 pm as initially told. But they asked to take my weight so that they could treat this as a 'nurse visit'. I asked if there is a medical reason, and they said no just a protocol. A protocol so that they can claim insurance for an office visit while there is not. It seems dishonest and questionable.
