My daughter was born July 30, Friday morning. Her bilirubin was pretty high. She was rechecked at Piedmont that Sunday and it was still pretty high. We were told to follow up with our pediatrician of choice Monday. I was recommended ABC peds by a family… called that Monday to try to get her in but they didn’t take us and told us Wednesday would be the earliest. However, according to the academy of pediatric it should be checked within 24hrs. Pretty upset so I got her into another peds office that day no problem. Interestingly ABC decided to give me a call today, TWO weeks after she’s born to discuss the “abnormality” that was on her newborn paperwork. I had filled out paperwork for my son to also be seen there but we will take our business elsewhere.
