Deliberate deceitful and unprofessional
A dentist at Advanced Dental Care of Bradenton surprised me during a routine cleaning by urging me to get crown or I would have to get a route canal. Based on the urgency conveyed by the dentist and the assurance of what the insurance company would pay, I had the procedure done soon after.Months of no communication from Advanced Dental Care passed without informing me the insurance company had rejected the claim. A qualified dentist explained why a crown wasn’t urgent at all; it wasn’t even necessary! According to code, a filling was called for, not a crown.Had Advanced Dental Care done what I thought they did and what the insurance company highly recommends, they would have gotten pre-approval. They didn’t do that. Why? Because they wouldn’t have gotten it—and they knew it! Code is code. More could be said which space disallows. You might want to look up the fraudulent practice of upgrading.
